I don’t know what to make of this short of that I have not had much luck playing in any of their casinos lately so I am wondering if they are preparing to stop business all together but before doing so: are turning the screws on their slot payouts.

It is always possible that I am just on a bad luck run but the timing is ironic.

Silver Dollar, Millionaire, SuperSlots, Caribbean Gold and Slots Galore all are in the same network.

This is a shame since so many have already closed their doors to US players.

English Harbour is powered by Vegas Technology casino software.

Update: I am really wondering about the games as I am having terrible luck there. I thought I should make you aware. If you are going to deposit into the casinos I would suggest doing so in little amounts so if you decide you don’t like how things are going you can get out without having much money left in there to worry about.

For a replacement to these casinos please check out the RTG casinos. I will be adding a few new names to the ones i have up now, in the near future.

Multi Hand Video Poker

Multi-Hand video poker can make a dull game many times more fun depending upon how many games you are playing.

Increase chances of hitting the royal flush using multi-hand games

If you’re like me and find video poker a dull game but find yourself migrating to it on those days when you can’t catch a win playing something else, a good way to increase the entertainment value is to consider playing the multi-hand games instead of the single hand versions.

Chances of hitting the Royal Flush are increased exponentially with every hand you add to your game.

Playing For The Royal Flush

As you can see in the picture at the right, (where the bottom hand is the original hand), you can see I opted to keep only three of the necessary five cards for a royal. There were actually four hearts to begin with but I tossed the lower number card, effectively throwing away the chance for a flush, in trade for hopes of catching a Royal Flush. Which I did.

I don’t know what the experts would tell you is the smart play but it is my experience that if you go for the flush, thus keeping four cards, that usually you catch one of four hands to a flush. Two if you’re really lucky.

That results in basically getting your money back on one flush. You make a little on two. Compare that to if you don’t catch a flush the best you’re going to get is a pair: to if you kept only the three face cards that you still could catch two pair or three of a kind which I believe in that picture it shows exactly such or similar instance.

Game shown in photo was won at a Vegas Technology powered casino.

these are the best of the devils we know and that at least if you play at one of these establishments that you can count on getting paid and getting a fair chance at winning.

Vegas Technology casinos, specifically those in the English Harbor network, have gained the majority of the time I gamble because of several things they have proven to do that other casinos available to USA players, simply do not provide.

Bonuses
Providing the freedom to play any game is important to me because I don’t like to sit and play a game which I am losing. Therefore there are many times when I literally jump from game to game to game and in doing so I cover the entire spectrum (except for Roulette, for reason it just doesn’t appeal to me) and the great thing about this network’s bonus terms is they don’t punish you for playing a few hands of blackjack in between slot machines. At many casinos (including some listed on this site so be diligent and always read terms); have their bonus terms set so that if you play anything but slots the terms are deemed broken and you cannot cashout until you have played off all the money on that bonus agreement and started fresh with a new deposit.

VIP Slots, Caribbean Gold and the other Vegas Tech casinos listed on this site have a bonus terms which are set up so that at worst case scenario, your play simply doesn’t count towards meeting the requirements, as opposed as using it as a reason to disqualify you. * That said, still always read terms because they can change at any time.

Payments
Always a concern about any online casino is whether or not they actually pay their winners. Non payment is by far the most common way people are cheated, if they are cheated, when playing on line. I have always been paid and in fact once you complete the security process which requires you faxing in a copy of a recent utility bill, drivers license or passport and copy of front and back of any credit cards you used to deposit (so keep those disposable cards as they may be needed later): they are quite expedient in getting your money to you.

Games
Having fair odds is paramount to the quality of entertainment a player will get from a casino and Silver Dollar, Slots Galore and their sister casinos provide fair odds games. I have won many, many big wins playing their games and I am certain they are better to me than any of the local riverboat casinos near where I live.

Summary
Please don’t misunderstand. Vegas Tech casinos listed on this site are in my opinion head and shoulders above the other choices available to USA players however they are casinos which means they are designed to take your money. I merely state that it is my opinion that these are the best of the devils we know and that at least if you play at one of these establishments that you can count on getting paid and getting a fair chance at winning.

Banking strategy for casino gambling.

It is always sound thinking to establish a banking strategy for your game play. This is something totally different than has to do with deposits, withdrawals or the cashier. It has to do with money management during your gambling sessions.

Loss Limits For Your Bankroll

Loss limits are the core to this banking strategy and probably should be whenever discussing bankroll.

Below I offer my version of banking strategy but you can use almost anything that splits up your money so that you have boundaries that force you to stop and think about what you are doing. For myself, it seems to work best when I allow myself to get totally involved into the game or even the spinning of the slots and not give my attention to the bottom line. The problem with that is I can easily go further than I had intended which of course on those times when you don’t catch a win to boost you back up, you are going to blame the fact you allowed yourself to dig such a deep hole.

One of my favorite sayings is you can never dig yourself out of a hole. The first step towards solving the problem is to stop digging. Easier said than done however as most of us know. This banking strategy will quickly become second nature to you and it allows for all the things you look for when gambling. A second chance, the chance to win big and after all else fails the opportunity to start over and try again.

Example of Casino Banking Strategy Using Loss Limit

Lets say you started with $50 and increased it to $200 after hitting a nice win. Now is the time to install a loss limit. 25% is a good number.

That means your first loss limit will be at $150. If you get back down to $150 then you change your approach and stop betting quite as aggressively and move your wagers back down to your own comfort zone. However until that time you should embrace the chance to be a bit wilder or perhaps better said, more profound in your wagers.

If you get lucky and catch another win at that higher than normal comfort stakes then you are off and running. Catching a win at stakes which are double or triple your norm really catapults your bank roll which needless say will greatly increase your entertainment value.

In other words if you normally spin the slots at $.25 then until that first loss limit is hit, bet more than the norm any time you feel you might get lucky. Move credit values up to $.50 or even $1.00

Many of us have streaks which justify just leaving it at a higher credit level so just play it however your gut tells you and don’t worry if you lose down to your first loss limit. Remember you just won a nice amount therefore it is likely you still have some luck left so give it the opportunity to pay off at the higher stakes. Just be sure to keep an eye on your bank so that if you fall to your loss limit that you can change style of play.

I’m Losing And It’s All Your Damn Strategy’s Fault

On those days when you see your wagers fall short of spectacular and eventually you see your bankroll withered to your loss limit remember that is why the limit is installed so you can play guilt-free so to speak, meaning you pretty much expected you would lose this 25% but were willing to find that as an acceptable risk for the benefits it stood to pay.

However that time is now past until next you are able to move your loss limit up which won’t come again until after you’ve hit another nice win. Meantime you still have 3x what you started playing with which ought to allow for a lot of opportunities of seeing your bankroll get bigger instead of smaller.

If all goes badly and you end up back at your original starting point then it is probably a wise decision to walk away from the games for a while and come back at a later time when hopefully your luck has taken a turn for the better.

And yes, I apologize that this strategy ONLY left you with enough to start over having the same as before. Good luck!

………………………………………….

Just to walk you thru this, your next loss limit is at $100. So play your normally comfortable manner until you get down to that amount.

If you reach $100 then now you are on your last comfort zone. The last remaining loss limit is at the amount you started playing which is $50. If you reach that mark it is wise to quit and come back later or even the next day.

…………………………………………..

If you see yourself climb back to the $200 mark then I suggest again allowing yourself more freedom in your approach because you want to take as much advantage of a lucky streak as possible and that is accomplished by betting more when it is your turn to enjoy a good streak.

Bottom line: assign a check number and tear up that check.

You may have become aware recently that some of the online casinos are now accepting virtual checks.

Virtual checks, otherwise known as echecks, are like writing a check out of your checking account but when you do it on line you write in all the necessary information the bank would need to cash your promissory note.

Simply enter the routing number, your bank account number, the name of your bank and if you’d prefer (and I would recommend) add your check number and then tear up the check.

If you always add your check number and tear it up then you’ll never have to wonder about things later when doing books because the number will be assigned – the problem with not using a check number is that if someone were to charge you for a deposit you never made you would never have to question yourself about whether you made that deposit or not, that is, assuming you do write your checking down.

Bottom line: assign a check number and tear up that check.

eWalletExpress was seized by USA authorities in what will likely be a situation similar to NETeller where members will have their funds tied up for an extended period of time.

I was able to warn people about the NETeller implosion but this came to me as big a surprise as to most others.

I will post more about this situation as news becomes available.

…………

Update Sunday, Nov 21:

I have heard that the same expectation may be possible happening at QT/UseMyWallet , or in any case they have shut down all funding options except the international banking option which when clicked on, involves taking you to a page that provides the banking information which I would assume you are to pass on to your bank and have them send the money. I imagine this is by far the least used option for funding QT and if nothing else I would be getting my money out of QT and into a casino account or if you feel there is time you can try withdrawing back to your bank.

eWalletExpress:

has definitely been overtaken by US authorities and as such expect if you have funds in there, that they may be tied up for three years (I was told it took that long for some NETeller customers to get their money when the US shut down that ewallet some years ago).

So don’t give up on the money if you have some in there. Just be prepared that it might be a while before they release it to you.

remind my readers not to go into any real money games with expectations built from playing free or even tournament games.

Slot tournaments are ever-growing in popularity and for good reason, they stretch the player’s money further than they would enjoy otherwise if playing in the regular casino games.

After some extended time checking out the slot tournaments so that I could better write about them, I began to take notice of one particular area which in this case I am speaking of the Real Time Gaming powered tournaments and in specific, the random jackpot that a large portion of their games provide.

I have won this feature at very least three times and more likely it has been four or five because I didn’t really know to start looking for this until it had happened a couple times to draw my attention. Since becoming aware to count, I know I have won the random jackpot three times.

Yet when I play the same games in the regular part of the casino, for longer periods of time no less, I have yet to win even one random jackpot.

There are several reasons why this could have happened as it did, the least of which being just as luck would have it,

Regardless of whether this is a reason for concern, or just dumb luck, it has reminded me to remind my readers not to go into any real money games with expectations built from playing free or even tournament games.

Please check back as I will be looking into this matter further and will be reporting it as I go.

the chances of them paying out on a large win are dropped

Cherry Red, Slots Oasis and Rushmore casino have been removed from my guaranteed list effective after a 30 day grace period to allow my players to find out.

November 2 2010 will be the day the guarantee officially is off these casinos.

My reasons for taking them off the list are that although none of my players have been effected (to my knowledge to date) , there are still too many player complaints mounting at gambling forums to ignore any further.

Another reason for my taking this action is because I recently caught this group of casinos not reporting accurately about an earned commission to a peer. if a place cannot be trusted to be competent, the chances of them paying out on a large win are dropped in my opinion. Please consider Club USA (found in right column) or another RTG powered casino on my list. Thank You.
